Metamorph
She creates the shift by consciously willing the change, and can accurately control how far into the morph she undergoes. Very seldom, in times of great fear or anger, she may shift involuntarily, and as such, her power is tied to her emotions somewhat; most often, though, the change is only undergone when she wills it upon herself. She is a lycanthrope, but her abilities are in no way tied into the phases of the moon, and are available for her to use whenever she wills it. Shifting is not painful for her, but it does offer a brief sensation of mild discomfort, akin to cracking one's knuckles. They take only moments to undergo, and she can, in fact, go from human form to wolf form in mid-leap if need be. The shifts themselves do cost her a bit of energy; nothing too noticeable, unless for some reason, she were morphing from full human to full wolf and back again several times in a row; but once in a form, it costs her no energy to hold it, and she can stay in any phase of the morphing for as long as she desires. She cannot control which parts of her body shift, as she can the degree; if she shifts, her whole body shifts to whatever degree she desires. Strength
In transition form, she benefits most from this power. The raw power of the wolf when mixed with the agility of the human leave her able to lift roughly two tonnes, although as she nears this threshold, she will begin to show signs of strain and begin to slow. She has a fair degree of control over this strength, and can increase it with more practice. Occasionally, it will still take her a bit by surprise, especially if she has been in her human form for an extended period of time: a period of adjustment is needed to adapt to the heightened ability. Speed
Her reflexes also benefit from added speed. Her reflexes work at about the same speed of a very fit wolf, but are motivated more by her human desires. For example, a flash of movement will catch her attention, even one too fast for a normal human to pick up, but unlike a wolf, she can control how she reacts to it, and won't feel the need to immediately classify it as friend, food, or foe and act accordingly.
Her speed as a human is again average for a fit young woman of her size and build. Her speed in transitional form is greatly influenced by whether she's progressed to running on all fours or not. On her two legs only, her speed is greatly hindered, and is only comparable to an Olympic trained, but otherwise ordinary human. Once she breaks to all fours, her speed again increases exponentially, depending on how far into wolf-mode she's gone. Senses
Smell
Sight
As a human, her sight is only slightly more than average, and would do little to give an optometrist pause. Like many ordinary humans, her eyesight is just a bit better than most, and it is possible that this has little or no relation with her mutation, and rather she was just gifted with this ability in a human capacity. She loses all ability to see into the non-visible spectrums when in this form, and can no longer see in the dark.
In transitional form, her sight slowly grows to envelop more of the spectrum as she morphs further into wolf form, and her reliance gradually shifts from visible light to heat as the ability increases. Hearing
As a human, her hearing is brought back down to the human level. It is still a bit more sensitive than that of the average human, but remains still within the higher end of the abilities of unmodified people. She also loses her ability to discern higher pitches, and can no longer hear noises too high for a human to pick up on.
In transitional form, her sense of hearing incrementally increases, both in sensitivity and range, as she morphs further into wolf form. Agility
As a human, she loses all of her super-human agility. She's not a klutz, by any means, and her tiny build does help her out on many occasions, but this is just normal, human agility, with no powers behind it.
In transitional form, she again takes on a middle-ground of her power. She again regains limited control of her hands, although long claws may cause some hindrance in gripping, but she keeps a part of her wolf-like agility, and can scramble up and down mountain sides with a fair bit of ease. In this state, she can also climb easier cliff-faces (ones with many readily placed handholds), and even trees, with the added help of her claws for grip. She can still manage narrow ledges, but tends to prefer to continue the morphing along to the point of dropping on all fours to do so, because of the added stability. Still, she can cross on two legs, like a gymnast, if there isn't time or opportunity for her to continue her shifting. Rahne can consciously shift her body all or partway into lupine form. She can take on only the one form, and it is of the same wolf every time. She cannot shift into a different species, nor change any of her identifying features, whether in wolf or human form. She cannot extend this shift onto anyone else, and while she retains most of her human intelligence, she looses her higher thought processes and has trouble following complex trains of thought that would be easy work for her in human form; also, because her vocal cords are now those of a wolf, she loses her ability to speak. When in full-lupine form, however, she benefits from many heightened abilities. Shifting part way allows her to retain her full intelligence and communication while still partly enjoying these increased capabilities; the further the degree into which she morphs, the more her wolf-enhanced abilities are increased.
While in wolf form, Rahne's strength is increased beyond that even of a natural wolf, beyond that which even a wolf of her size should be capable of doing. However, because of the practicalities of being a wolf, her lack of hands or any real method to lift or move anything limits her strength. In human form, Rahne has no superhuman strength and possesses only the strength that would be expected of an athletic woman of her tiny stature.
As with strength, Rahne's speed is enhanced even beyond that of a natural wolf when she takes her full animal form. Over long distances, she's capable of travelling at about 7-8 miles per hour on average; she can get up to 12 miles per hour over flat, easy terrain, if she's well rested, but can drop down below 5 miles per hour if the terrain is rugged and she's too tired. These speeds she can keep up for many hours, before needing to stop to rest and refresh. She can cover the distance of 70 miles in the single night, if she must, though her more common travelling will get her about 40-60 miles in that time. In short sprints, she can get her speed up to 50 miles per hour, but this tires her more quickly, and can only be kept up for short distances and short periods of time; if pushed, she could probably keep up a maximum speed of 50 mph for just under ten miles, but this would be exhausting and she'd need a long rest to recover.
One of Rahne's most prevalent and used enhancements are her heightened senses. When in wolf-form, she enjoys all of the benefits normal wolves do, with some added touches added by her X-factor. In transitional form, this are limited somewhat, and they are only very vaguely present in human form, if at all.
Rahne's sense of smell as a wolf is heightened only slightly beyond that of a natural wolf. She can identify individuals by smell, and can track this smell over long distances, even if it is faint. She can pick up a smell about 2 miles away, if she concentrates. She can also detect the contents of containers, so long as they are not thoroughly air-tight. She can easily keep track of many different scents, and keep each one separate, although it is easier for her to look for one or a few specific scents than to try and pay equal attention to every scent present. Rahne can also smell fear on people, if they aren't so good at hiding it.
As a human, she retains only a slightly heightened sense of smell, one that seems not so much superhuman as just an ordinary human with a particularly good nose. Basically, she can pick up and discern smells a hint more easily than an average human, but she comes nowhere near to identifying people by smell or tracking them in her human form. Her nose is also more easily assaulted by bad smells, something she doesn't suffer from as much in wolf form, and she has a slight sensitivity to perfumed scents, not to the degree of an outright allergy, but heavy perfume might get her nose itching and eyes watering.
In transitional form, again, her sense of smell increases incrementally as she goes further into wolf mode. She can now trace people by scent, so long as the smell doesn't go too faint or mingles with too many other smells, and again her ability to smell fear picks up.
In lupine form, Rahne has an enhanced and effected sense of sight. Rather than so much being able to see farther and clearer, although this is present to a slight degree, she can see into spectrums that are not visible to the human eye. From infrared to ultraviolet, all light waves are visible to her, not just the small section that humans perceive as colours. Thus, she judges and views things by heat patterns usually, rather than using more traditional sight. This affords her the ability to see in complete darkness unhindered, since it is not visible light that she uses to perceive the things around her. In hand with her ability to smell fear on people, in viewing their heat patterns, she can also sense it more clearly by how their body temperatures change and where. One disadvantage to her sight when in wolf form is that, because of the forward placement of her eyes, her scope of vision is narrowed to just under 180 degrees, and she loses all peripheral sight that her human form enjoys. As well, huge blasts of ultraviolet light or heat may muck up her ability to discern individual shapes and to that effect, blind her temporarily, albeit without pain.
As a wolf, Rahne's sense of hearing is considerably increased over a human's, and even slightly over an ordinary wolf's. She can hear moderately loud sounds from as far as fourteen miles away in the open (ie. she might be able to hear people conversing, although unable to discern their individual words), though her standard usually winds up more around ten miles, due to obstructions of buildings or forests. She can also hear sounds too high-pitched for human ears, and can follow clearly up to about 80khz before sounds begin to get fuzzy, then disappear altogether. Despite her increased sensitivity to sound, loud noises don't seem to overly bother her, aside from their normal startling effects when unexpected, although it is possible to confuse her by deluging her sense of hearing with many different sounds at many different ranges; it is much harder for her to pick out one distinct sound when in a crowded city, for example, than when in a serene forest.
In wolf form, Rahne is much more agile than a normal human being, and slightly more so than an ordinary wolf. When combined with her above-standard reflexes, this allows her to dodge and turn quite quickly, and she can feint out most pursuers by stopping suddenly, then instantly turning to run in a near-opposite direction. Her balance is also improved, and she can walk ledges that are no more than the width of her paws in lupine form. Because of the added stability of using four feet over two, she's also quite adept at climbing, and can make it up all but the steepest of inclines. However, because she has paws rather than hands in this form, the addition of handholds are of no use to her. As such, she does well on mountain sides and other rocky, hilly terrain, but a human with even moderate climbing skills would have her at a disadvantage at a cliff-face.
